Project brief
Deliverables
- Shopify storefront
- Men's and women's navigation
- Collection filters and color swatches
- Product page with fit scale
- Campaign home page sections
- Mobile layout
The challenge
The range is split between a long-running men's line and a reintroduced women's collection, and both need equal room in the store. Many pieces come in a long list of colors, so shoppers need to compare color, size and fit without opening every product.
Our approach
A clean header carries four entries: New Arrivals, Men, Women and Sale, each opening a menu of featured edits and clothing categories. Collection pages add shortcut buttons for popular categories, a filter sidebar with an out-of-stock toggle, price slider, size and color, plus color swatches on each card. Product pages show the star rating, a full color swatch grid, size buttons and a fit scale from runs small to runs large above the add to cart button.
The outcome
A Shopify store where men's and women's ranges sit side by side. Shoppers can narrow a large catalog by size and color, then check fit and reviews before they buy.
- Platform
- Shopify (Symmetry theme)
- Catalog
- Shirts, tees, knitwear, jackets, pants, denim
- Shopping
- Men and women, swatches, fit scale, reviews
How we did it
Step 01
Two-sided menu
Men and Women each open featured edits (new arrivals, best sellers) and a full clothing list, while Sale is split into its own category links and highlighted in the header.
Step 02
Collections
Category shortcuts sit above the grid, and a collapsible sidebar filters by stock, price, category, size and color, with the product count and sorting at the top.
Step 03
Product pages
Each product shows its review rating, price in Canadian dollars, color swatches, size buttons and a fit indicator, with shipping, Canadian design and returns notes under the cart button.
Step 04
Home page and mobile
The home page rotates seasonal campaign slides, then a new arrivals carousel and large category tiles, and the same sections stack cleanly on phones.

Why this project matters
Basics are bought on fit and color more than on novelty. Swatches, filters and a clear fit guide answer those questions on the page, which is what lets a shopper buy a shirt online with confidence.
