The challenge
A logo has to work at every size, from a favicon to a sign, and in one color as well as full color. It also has to say something about the business without trying to say everything.
Our approach
We sketch several directions, then narrow to the one that stays clear when it is small, flat and seen for a second. Letterforms are adjusted by hand, and a small symbol, such as a light bulb or a leaf, carries the idea so the name can stay simple.
The outcome
The folio shows a range of marks, each built to stay legible and recognizable at small sizes.

How we did it
Step 01
Several directions
We sketch a range of ideas before settling on one, so the choice is between real options.
Step 02
Built to work small
The chosen mark is simplified until it reads as a small icon and in a single color.
Step 03
Hand-adjusted letterforms
Spacing and letter shapes are adjusted by hand, so the wordmark feels like one piece rather than typed text.
Step 04
Shown in brand color
Each logo is presented on its brand color, the way customers will first see it.
Tools and platforms
- Adobe Illustrator
- Vector artwork
- Custom lettering
Why this project matters
A logo shows up everywhere a business does, from a profile picture to an invoice. A mark that stays clear at small sizes saves redesign costs later and keeps the brand recognizable on every channel.
