Cafe seasonal creatives

Cafe seasonal creatives is a social media design project from the Pixel2Tech social media practice. We were brought in because the team was spending hours per post in a generic template tool and still shipping inconsistent work. This page walks through the problem we were handed, how we approached it, and what changed as a result.

The challenge

When the project started, the team was spending hours per post in a generic template tool and still shipping inconsistent work.

Our approach

We designed a set of repeatable layout archetypes for launches, quotes, offers and behind-the-scenes, then handed over editable source files.

The outcome

The feed now scans as one brand at thumbnail size, and new posts take minutes rather than an afternoon.

How we delivered this social media project

  1. Step 01

    Audit and content mapping

We reviewed the existing grid post by post, recorded what actually earned saves and shares, and mapped the content pillars the brand needed to own before a single new layout was drawn.

  2. Step 02

    Design system for the feed

We defined the grid geometry, two type sizes, a locked colour set and an image treatment, then built each recurring format — launch, quote, offer, behind-the-scenes — on top of that shared frame.

  3. Step 03

    Batch production

Posts were produced in batches against the calendar rather than one at a time, which keeps the visual rhythm intentional and removes the scramble at the end of each week.

  4. Step 04

    Handover and enablement

We shipped editable source files, a short usage guide and naming conventions so the in-house team can extend the system without the design quality drifting.

Technologies and tools used

The stack below was chosen for this engagement because it matched the scale of the work, the team that would maintain it afterwards, and the performance the brief required.

  • Figma
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • After Effects
  • Brand design system
  • Content calendar workflow

Why this project matters

Most small teams do not lose on social because of ideas; they lose because production is slow and inconsistent. Turning design into a repeatable system converts a recurring bottleneck into something a non-designer can run, which is the difference between posting monthly and posting weekly.

If you are weighing up similar work, our services overview explains how we scope engagements, and about Pixel2Tech introduces the team who would run it.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a social media design system take to build?
For most brands the audit, system design and first batch of templates take three to four weeks. After that, ongoing content production runs on a weekly or monthly cycle depending on posting volume.
Do we get the editable source files?
Yes. Every project ships with organised, editable Figma and Adobe source files, plus naming conventions and a short usage guide so your in-house team can produce new posts without starting from scratch.
Can Pixel2Tech also handle the content calendar and copy?
We can. Social media design sits alongside our branding and digital marketing work, so the calendar, copy direction and post design can all be handled by one team rather than split across freelancers.
